Candace Woodside

Candace Woodside, works out of the L.E.A.D. office in St. Louis which allows victim services to be provided to Deaf & Hard of Hearing victims of crime. She provides training and education to Domestic Violence service providers, attorneys, law enforcement, ER nurses, and shelters in the St. Louis area and Eastern Region of the State.

She is involved in planning and implementing the activities for our L.E.A.D. Teen Institute Camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing teens. She loves that part of her job.

Mrs. Woodside is a certified member of the National Crisis Response Team of the Deaf (NCRTD), works collaboratively with Safe Connections which provides support groups for Deaf women (the only one in St. Louis area). Groups such as: Domestic Violence 101, Healing through Art, Parenting, and Self Esteem. She is trained as a Communication (CA) and a licensed/certified interpreter in the state of Missouiri.

In her spare time, she is the President of the Woodson Terrace Lions Club. She loves spending time in the outdoors, playing soccer, softball, and spending time with her family.
